Turn your logo into a QR code

Woven logo mode blends your image into the dots of a QR code, so the whole code can look like your logo. It is free, and the code is built in your browser.

How the woven logo works

A QR scanner reads the center of each dot. The woven logo mode is built around that. Each dot keeps a small square in its center in the code's real color, and the rest of the dot shows your image.

The result looks like your logo or picture, and the code still scans. Because the information is stored in the pattern itself, the code is static. Nothing sits between the scan and your link, and the code does not expire. Check the link before you start, because a printed static code cannot be edited later.

Make a woven logo code

  1. Enter the web address (URL) you want the code to open.
  2. Open the Woven logo option.
  3. Upload your image.
  4. Pick a color for the code, or choose one-color mode.
  5. Adjust the Scan safety slider. The next section explains the trade-off.
  6. Check the scan result. The page test-scans the design in your browser. If it will not scan, the page says so and suggests a fix, usually more contrast or a smaller logo.
  7. Download your code as a PNG (512, 1024, 2048 or 4096 pixels) or as an SVG for print.

For more color and dot shape options, see our custom QR code page.

The scan safety trade-off

The Scan safety slider controls how much of each dot stays plain code and how much shows your image. The two ends pull against each other:

Try a few settings and check the scan result each time. Move the slider toward the image until your logo reads clearly. If the page says the design will not scan, back off a little.

What images work best

Bold shapes, strong contrast and simple logos work best. Busy photos with lots of fine detail and little contrast work less well. If your picture has a lot going on, try a simpler crop or a bolder version first.

Dark dots on a light background scan most reliably, so a light background is the safer choice. Light-on-dark codes do not scan on some older scanner apps.

Woven logo or logo in the center?

The simpler option is a logo placed in the center of a standard code. It is covered on our QR code generator with logo page. That option raises the error correction level to H automatically. Level H can recover about 30% of damaged data, which gives the logo room to cover the middle of the code.

The woven logo does not cover the code with a block. It spreads your image across the dots, so the whole code looks like the picture. Choose it when the image is the design and you want the code itself to carry it.

Test before you print

Every design is test-scanned in the browser before you download it. That check does not replace a real scan. Always test-scan the printed code with a phone before you print a large run. The built-in camera apps on current iPhones and Android phones scan QR codes, so you do not need to install anything.

Print the code at least 2 cm (about 0.8 inch) wide. Keep a blank margin, called the quiet zone, around the code. The standard is 4 modules wide. Many codes still scan with less, but do not go below 2. Our QR code size guide covers print sizes and placement.

Free and private

The woven logo tool is free. There is no sign-up, no account and no email required.

It runs in your browser. Your image never leaves your device and is never stored on our servers. We do not track scans, and nobody can track a static code.

Questions

Will a QR code with my logo still scan?

Every design is test-scanned in the browser before you download it, and the page suggests a fix if it will not scan. Still test-scan the printed code with a phone before you print a large run.

Is my logo uploaded to 77-3.com?

No. The code is built in your browser, and uploaded logos are never sent to or stored on our servers.

What kind of image works best?

Bold shapes, strong contrast and simple logos work best. Busy photos with fine detail and little contrast work less well.

Can I change where a printed woven logo code points?

No. A static code stores its link in the pattern, so it cannot be edited after printing. Check the link before you download.

What is the difference between a woven logo and a logo in the center?

A logo in the center sits over the middle of a standard code. A woven logo blends your image into the dots across the whole code.
